well, I think the good news is the hole world isn't going to make a mad dash for vista for a while! there are still companies out there using windows 98SE. Hopefully in 2 years they will have worked out all the bugs, released a service pack maybe 2 or 3 and will be in business.
You should try and install jaws and just see what happens. also doesn't vista have a more advanced version of narator?

Well now the only thing i have to do to the test machine is format and put xp pro back on it! (i don't like vista)
Now. It hadn't found drivers for my wireless card or my lan iether so i got someone to install them well kinda.
When you run a program, vista wants you to give it permation to run and if vista doesn't like it, it will ask you multipal times using different wording, emplying that it will be a sicuritty risk to install or run the program.
I made vista see the light and it let me install the driver.
Half way through the setup the program crashed and vista suggested that i run it through the compatabilitty wizard, which crashed my computer forsing a reboot.
I gave up on connectivitty and started the utillitty manager, now called eas of acsess center.
Speech came on, and to be fair, the new voice is actually really quite good and narater seems to improov, i think theres more stuff on differnet focuses now but they haven't sorted out internet navigation yet.
